Excellent new Political Cleanup campaign website launched following UK government failure to act on the recommendations of the Public Affairs Select Committee and pass legislation to curb corporate lobbying. Organisers say "Unless this underhand activity is more widely recognised and condemned, beneficial work will struggle for recognition in the political world and this bodes ill for the future". (Jan 2010)

New Green New Deal report - 7th Dec 09 - The Green New Deal Group explain how, contrary to the policy of all the major political parties, cutting public spending now will tip the nation into a deeper recession by increasing unemployment, reducing the tax received and limiting government funding available to kick-start the Green New Deal.
