The new LWM Blog

Localise West Midlands' Birmingham Green New Deal is now being implemented by Birmingham City Council and the Birmingham model is being promoted around the UK.

The failure at Copenhagen, albeit not unexpected, highlights the importance of economic strategies at a more local level - whether national, regional or local - that tackle our climate and economic crises. From low carbon community groups like WFEG to NGOs, mission-led consultancies and the forward thinking within the business community, we need practical change, strategy change and political pressure to rescue the ground that Copenhagen has lost. The 10:10 campaign has been resoundingly well-received with major sign-ups including regional pioneer Stoke-on-Trent. (external links)
