How LWM is Funded

LWM has in the past received core funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and the Polden-Puckham Foundation.

We have also been commissioned to produce work for the Birmingham City Council, Birmingham Strategic Partnership, Greets Green Enterprising Communities, and Advantage West Midlands, and have had project funding from the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust.

However, much of our 'core' work is difficult to fund. As with many organisations that try to tackle the root causes rather than the symptoms of problems, our core work consequently does not always have the immediate or direct impact on symptoms that charitable and public funders often require. Funding specifically for our core work (for example our Localisation Mapping and other policy change-centred activities) would greatly increase our effectiveness, within and perhaps beyond the region.
